Holy cow, you don't post much.
>>

Yeah I just recently decided I'd start posting some. I've actually been lurking the AT boards ever since they were on UBB. So I know all about neffing, the resident 'hot deal ferengi', the skoorb effect, etc. :p

Actually I originally registered on Fusetalk in late 99 or early 00, can't remember which. It was long enough ago that I was able to use my aol email address to sign up. :p I ended up reregistering as BullhonkE in September 2001 because I was never able to log in or retrieve my password (because of the aol address). The mods were kind enough to delete the old account and rename this one, and here I am. :) I was hoping they could delete the new one and change the email address on the old one so I would keep my early join date, but no dice. :p

Often makes me wonder though how many other long-time lurkers there may be out there, just lurking the days away.

<< Oh boy heh, these kinds of people can get really annoying. I ran a message board for my EverQuest guild awhile back and I had a few people who really liked artificially inflating their post count while they were bored at work and/or school.

Ended up having to threaten with banning people for 3 days or a week at a time before they got the message and stopped. Luckily I never actually had to ban any of them, but it was getting out of hand rather quickly.

If people got banned here for "artificially inflating their post count" (AKA neffing) there would be no one left!! :Q

Theoretically, any one of us could do the same thing with a simple little webpage script that would post over and over. However, the AT mods would lock the thread really quick and probably ban you for doing something that damn stupid and annoying. We have to up our post counts the old-fashioned way, by having no lives.... :p
