Get to work this morning and see the above as an email subject line in my inbox. Of course I had to open it. The email was from someone here in the company and all that was in the body of the message was "Fvck you all"

No idea who the guy is that sent it, don't recognize the name although I did look him up in the company directory and he works, or should I say worked, in accounting.

The email was sent company wide. Gotta love it.

Disgruntled employees FTW.

Watch out for suspicious packages hanging around.

I've seen worse emails.

And as long as that's the extent of his revenge against the company, then it's fine.

At least he didn't go Postal Service on your company, or spread dirt on other employees... now that would suck.

He probably walked away from his desk and left his computer unlocked and one of his co-workers did it. That stuff happens at my company too.

Just got back from the accounting and I.T. deparments, wanted to see what happened. Why the I.T. department? You'll see. Apparently the guy was in his mid 50's and was a bit of a weirdo, I can't help but think Milton.

So anyway he got pissed yesterday afternoon because his monitor went bad and I.T. took him a new one. Well this new one was silver and didn't match his black PC, keyboard, mouse, etc... like his old black one did. He started throwing a fit at the tech guy saying he wanted a black monitor, guy tried to explain to him that every monitor they have purchased in the last year has been silver. Wasn't good enough for this guy, Ted is his name by the way, so he continued to throw a fit about it. Went to his manager and was complaining about it and his manager told him that was just the way it was going to be. Guy went back to his cubicle and seemed to give it a rest. Guess he stewed on it or something because he sent out the email last night about 5:15 and left. End of story right?

Not so fast sparky. Before good ol Ted left he destroyed the monitor. Put a fist through it from what the people in I.T. told me. So now they are going to press charges against Ted the wise. I'm guessing the police will be paying him a visit today.

If I hear more I'll keep everyone posted. God how I love working in this soap opera. Between angry fat women destroying vending machines and now Ted going apesh1t on a monitor the fun never ends around here.

Like I said. . .Madman + Shotgun = your future.

The guy is mental. Sounds like there are deeper issues at play here. I'd call in sick if I were you.

I imagine putting your fist through a monitor would be pretty painful (and rough on your hand)

Not too worried about that. Building is secure. I work for an HMO so we are always getting crazed ass calls and stuff like that. When they built this building it was designed with security in mind. Have to pass through a guarded gate to get in, another guard at the entrance into the building, cameras everywhere, and all the departments have doors that can only be opened with badges. I'm sure Ted's badge has been deactivated.

Yeah, the I.T. guy I talked to said that is what it looked like to him. Said it looked like he had punched it because the screen was caved in and there was blood on it. I couldn't get a look at it though. Had the area roped off waiting for the cops to show.
