Another interesting BoA factoid - they allow "electronic bill pay", and when that happens, and an amount is send to an entity that doesn't have an electronic connection, then a printed check is generated and mailed.

That check is drawn on RANDOM BANKS. It is NOT drawn on BoA. In fact, I got a check that was drawn on what appears to be an investment firm, not even a bank with branches. I had no way to cash that check.

Needless to say, BoA lost a customer.

(Their explaination was that they outsource bill-pay services.)
