you might have a cable connected wrong somewhere and it is overheating, causing it to smoke...I had this happen...not fun.

Actually the power supply on this system was cheap and the CPU wasnt over clocked

If you have an AMD chip in your computer, I bet the fan and heatsink got a little twisted or knocked off and it's the chip!

With me it's the little LED power-on light......I've got 3 different cases and
they've all "pop'd" on me................

I havent looked at the copmputer yet.......so does this sound like the entire computer is toasted or can parts be salvaged?
