You know how to play (and pronounce) Euchre.

I played all the time in H.S. Nobody outside of MI knows what the hell it is.

Maybe it should be called a "Detroit Left". ;)

That particular design of traffic flow largely seems exclusive to the Greater Detroit area. First of all, the original post is 100% true :) I almost LOLed at work! Secondly, you have obviously not been in Grand Rapids very much, there are Michigan lefts all over the place, especially on the East Beltline. Ive been in GR for 9 years now, and Michigan my whole life and its a great place!

Actually, Michiganians and Texans have a lot in common with regard to considering themselves to be "a breed apart" from your average American.

I must argue with you one one, #20.
20. Your year has 2 seasons: Winter and Construction.

That is Chicago, not Michigan. Other than taht, ROFL!

I lived in Grand Rapids and worked at St. Mary's Medical Center for over two years. East Beltline is the exception because IIRC it is essentially a divided highway. There are some intersections in any city where you cannot make a left-hand turn.

That is not the same as patterning your entire metropolitan street plan after this design.

"Some" is the operative word. When I said "there's nothing like that" in other areas, the "that" I was referring to is the sheer extent to which it is found in the Greater Detroit area.

lmao these are great, I was loling at them. I'm 4th generation in MI (although I was born in Denver, CO, we moved back after 4 or 5 years of moving to some other places across the country) in a smaller town (now getting much bigger) in between all of the SE MI development. And MI is actually quite unique for so many reasons - from the history and fighting that took place here way back, to the early development resulting in a lot of local companies, to the weather and landscape, etc. But, I'll sure as hell be glad to move out west to the mountains in Northern Cali/Oregon/Washington, away from the flat land and away from the pollution that is overflowing the Eastern US. For the record, I didn't know it was called a "Michigan Left" although I have used them a ton. They are present in other parts of the US, but the frequency in SE MI of Michigan Left's is astronomical.
