You know you live in Michigan when...

The news channel just announced Detroit is no longer the number 1 worst city to live in. It is now ranked number 7, with Flint being 6.

Pretty bad we have 2 cities on the top 7.

EDIT:

Maybe I should point out it only listed as far as Detroit, being number 7. It wasn't like top 10 or something.

Either way, it was news to me 🙂

Your thread title and content make no sense.

And to answer your question: When you walk outside and get shot.

😕

Your face turns yellow and your eyeballs aren't centered.
i'd rather be that face than this stinkin tree... i can't see through the snow on my boughs 🙁

I just pretend the East Side of the state doesn't exist.

There are three parts of Michigan: the East Side (falling apart), the West Side (top-notch), and the UP (more like Wisconsin or Canada).

If we chopped out everything Lansing and over and made it a new state, it'd be the worst state in the union and the rest would be one of the best. But there has to be balance in everything!

LOL, riiiiight. Because outside of Detroit and metro Detroit, there's so much commerce and industry. What, Grand Rapids will keep the state up? LOL.

It's because Detroit has been the standard bearer to which all crappy cities compare themselves for decades. 😉
