Welcome, Bubbalite!

Howzabout...

"Mony Mony" - Get effed! Get L*id!

When the movies "Wargames" and "Tron" showed state of the art graphics.

You really wanted a Colecovision and the Adam add-on to turn it into a "real" computer.

I had a Colecovision, with the Adam add-on. The O/S was a word processor, and the CPU was located in the printer! I also spent many a day after school playing "Gorf". I also had a Commodore Vic-20, man that thing was the schitt back then! Boy those were the days! Tron the movie sucked, but the video game took many a quarter from me. I still watch Wargames when it comes on, so tell me - did you ever try a free phone call from a pay phone by "ground starting" with a Pepsi can tab touching the innards of the payphone mic? 😉

(It dosn't work)

Thank's for the welcome!

Yes I do. And welcome to the 70's.

You can sing the McDonald's Big Mack, Filet-o-fish, quarter pounder, and French fry song.

The only one I knew was the Big Mac song!!

"Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun." 😀

It was new to me, I was spawned in '70. Abba ROCKS!

I remember watching Schoolhouse Rock as a kid when it first came out, circa 1973. Very catchy songs.

I grew up in both the 70's and 80's so I have a most unusual blend of cultural influences.

...If you ever dressed like Don Johnson from Miami Vice.
...Saw a car painted like the General Lee and thought it was cool.
and
while U2 was on their recent "Elevation" tour you were thinking about how you pretty much grew up with them ever since their American debut.

You forgot to mention Transformers and Gi-Joe toys! And all those great '80's TV shows, like Miami Vice and Who's The Boss! Or, the cool movies, like Wall Street and Back to the Future! Or the cheezy pop songs from Cindi Lauper and Tiffany! And who could forget the AMC Eagle and the DeLorian! The '80's ruled! 🙂

Valley Girl talk :Q

any of you remember the "special" razors that would leave just enough whiskers to make a 5 O'clock shadow so you could have that Don Johnson look??????

What a dork I was!! I couldn't display a 5 o'clock shadow at that time. So my OP shorts and semi-pink tank top had to suffice.

Now I am cool. 😉😎

😉

You remember all this stuff, too....

Vuarnet.
Acid-Washed jeans ripped at the knees.
The Pogo-Ball.
Puffalumps.
Popples.
Wham!
The Great Space Coaster.
Bumpitty.
When wearing one earring in your left ear meant you were gay.
A Flock of Seagulls' radical hairdos.
When Def Leppard's drummer had both arms.
When Def Leppard's drummer LOST one of his arms.
The first video on MTV (it makes me yearn for the past, when they actually had cool stuff on.)
Mr. T cereal, Pac-Man cereal, Smurf Berry Crunch, Nintendo cereal.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Wacky Wall Walkers.
Wizzards.
Dinosaucers.
Duck Tales.
Square One Television.
321-Contact.
Ranger Rick Magazine.
Your Big Backyard Magazine.

You know who Mr. T is.

Rock On!!!! A TEAM all the Way!!!!!
/me starts singing the A Team Theme Song....Da Da la Da da da da

LOL!

I remember all of those!

I remember thinking I was so state of the art by taking my boom box and making awesome recordings on tape of music and hit tv songs.

I think they also left out Saturday afternoon Kung Fu movies.

The 5 Deadly Venoms rule! I missed it so much I bought the DVD.

You remember when the Bag and the Bag ][ were the backpack of choice (=Before Jansport).
You used half a pencil for a long time because you always lost at 'peg'.
You bought a footlong, 3" Diameter pencil so you could be the king of 'peg' at your school. Heh heh😀

You know what OP and PCH are.

We just called them "pencil fights!" I bet the pencil manufacturers are the ones who put the idea into our young impressionable minds too. 😉

Let's go back even farther (70's?) Anyone remember "Wacky Pacs?" (in the candy section) They had a piece of gum and a few stickers that were messed up parody's of common products like Tide detergent or whatever. God, we used to buy em out......hehe.
