@#$#$%!!!
You know what pisses me off more than an OS crash? When an application intentionally restarts your system without prompting you, causing you to LOSE UNSAVED DOCUMENTS.
I just updated the firmware of my DVD recorder with an official download from lite-on. It told me that the update was successful and I dismissed the message by clicking "OK" (which was the only option). The app said nothing about restarting my system, but it immediately closed all processes and restarted! I freaked when Notepad prompted me to save the document (containing *VITAL* numbers that I had temporarily typed out, just until I could take care of them properly). I tried to hammer out a filename and press enter to save before the task was forced to end (by Windows), but it was no use.
Sloppy programming pisses me off, but this is also a security vulnerability in Windows. Microsoft could have done something to prevent this a LONG time ago. When an OS allows an app to restart your system without prompting you, this is a serious flaw.
