You know what? A P3 700e CB0 is pretty damned easy to OC! (1001 MHz so far)

Just got it like an hour ago. Running right now at 952 MHz (136 FSB, 1.7V), the same speed I had my C2 at. 22ºC right now. Using generic PC133 memory & nothing terribly special in the way of cooling. Can't wait 'til my GF2 gets here...

1 GHz, here I come...

:p

UPDATE:Changed my mind, decided to push for 1 GHz right now. Running at 1001 MHz, 1.75V, 23ºC.[/b]

:p

Are you using a GOrb? ;)

There's a reason i prefer cB0 p3s over C2's if you can afford them... :)

Hmm...

What do I use for cooling?

1 x Golden Orb, lapped base
1 x 50mm fan on reverse of IWILL Slocket II
2 x 80mm fans above V2 SLI
2 x Tennmax Stealth V2 coolers
1 x 92mm rear exhaust fan
2 x 60mm P/S fans
2 x 60mm intake (normally three)
1 x 40mm fan on removable HD cage
1 x 40mm on TNT2 Vanta, soon to be replaced by GF2 GTS
---
13 fans total. Yes, it's noisy as all hell. :(

SuperMicro SC 760A
ABIT BF6
Pentium 3 700e CB0 @ 143x7.0 = 1001 MHz :D
128MB Generic PC133 SDRAM @ 143 MHz CAS3 (normally 256, had to ditch the PC100)
Two CDs, one ZIP, one floppy, two removable HD cages, two HDs
TNT2, SB Live!, V2 SLI, Intel Pro/100+ NIC

And a GF2 on the way.

Next plans include some case mods (I like the viewholes...they're kinda cool...maybe some neon...This is going to rock for LAN parties...), making the jump to Ultra160 SCSI & a Cheetah X15, & hopefully a better monitor. This 15" bit is getting old.

Congrats on hitting 1Ghz.

I have pushed my Athlon 850 to 1020 and am shooting for at least another 30Mhz out of the sucker.. :)

I think you would have better luck overclocking that setup using an Asus P3V4X mobo and you would not have to ditch the Pc100 memory either.

Yea but he's got a load of crap that heats up his case, not just CPU...
What you think of 700e cb0 stepping, with ASUS CUSL2, and Alpha cooler?
