You know how when you get drunk you get the munchies?

It's now 5:44. I left the party about 15 minutes ago. I was drunk, but not falling down drunk or anything. But I was starving. I was thinking about hitting Taco Cabana, but went for the old standby : McDonalds. I had a sausage egg McMuffin meal and an extra egg McMuffin. Then, I drove across the street to Shipleys and got a dozen glazed donuts and a chocolate creme filled donut. There are now 7 donuts left. Argh! And I'm supposed to be on a diet. ;)

DAM, I was at Northgate till around 12:30-1:00, then went to a friend's apt. behind Northgate. We chilled there with some beer and liquor. Had a computer hooked up to Napster, so we just downloaded songs as we thought of them. Fun stuff.

Yeah, the alcohol driven munchies are a powerful thing....

I had a couple of glasses of wine last night, and the first thing I wanted this morning was pizza! Like a reflex or something....

So, pizza for breakfast it was. Mmmmmmm! :D

edit: spooon, you are now rated. ;) DAM, too. :)

I get the munchies when am drunk too. Next time don't drive at all though. You may not have been falling down drunk but you were impaired and that is all it takes to kill someone.

<< Then, I drove across the street to Shipleys >>

Sounds like drunk driving to me...unless it took you 1+ hours to eat at McDonalds.

Re-reading the original post, the guy left the party at 5:29 already
feeling drunk. He then posts at 5:44, only 15 minutes later. In between
that time, he got behind the wheel and drove somewhere. I shouldn't be
to hard on you because I make mistakes too...but that's a dumb mistake dude.

He said he was driving right there, although I'm not condemning him for his actions, we all make mistakes;)

I would like to say I know what you are talking about, but since I have never had a period of time when I didn't have the munchies, I really dont' have a point of reference. :)

yes, alcohol will give you the munchies. Here in Westwood, theres a couple little greasy places on the walk back from the bars to where all the apartments are. From Thursday night thru Saturday night, there is always a huge group of people eating after coming back from the bars. After a big night, say end of finals or after a big football game, you'll see maybe 200 people at these 2 stands, they end up in the street and stuff. And whenever you have that many drunk people in one place, there's almost a fight a night. It's a good time. :)

late.

Well, alcohol does give you the munchies too. Yeah, yeah, I was drinking and driving. I don't think I was too bad though. The last hour at the party was me sipping Kool-Aid and trying to stay awake. I considered crashing there, but the floor didn't seem appealing. ;)

edit: Nice people here, giving me 10s! :D

edit: Reitz: you don't get pulled over for a DWI unless you drive like you're impaired ;)

Yeah I took a few shots last night before heading out to Midnight Madness and I had cravings for nachos and pizza (and had my way :)). Hope the weight doesn't show up in the morning :(. Later

Spoooon,

The guy who almost killed my mom wasn't pulled over. He also killed two people in one accident and one person in a third. He wasn't pulled over for those either. There are not cops everwhere and if you are impaired you are always driving like you are impaired. Being to tired make you impaired. You don't have to be swerving all over the road to kill someone.

Alright guys, I didn't post this to get lectured on drinking and driving. I posted this because I thought it was funny that people get hungry when they drink. I understand that it's wrong to drink and drive etc. However, reading posts about me making mistakes etc. isn't going to make me all of sudden change. There is a time and a place for a serious discussion on the dangers of drinking and driving and I don't think this thread is it.:frown:

Do you care that you made a really bad mistake?

If you don't care, then you will probably repeat that mistake.

All right, I'm just unsubscribing from this thread. Like I said, I posted this message about being hungry when you're drunk, not about drunk driving. You may continue the discussion without me. :frown:

I like to eat when I drink.

You're a goddamned moron. There are no excuses for drinking and driving. If you say it you're gonna get lectured.

The last hour at the party was me sipping Kool-Aid and trying to stay awake. If you think an hour of sleepy kool-aid sipping is going to repair a night worth of alcohol you shouldn't be drinking.

I don't understand people who drink and drive. It kills people, you a$$holes don't deserve to be F**king driving at all. Guy at work had his good friend run off the road at 6am on the highway a couple weeks back. The guy was 21 and fell asleep at the wheel because of drinking. Jesus, you dumb bastards!!

PS - ignore my sig for this one cause its true.
