You know how when you attach two hoses to each other and it leaks? How do you stop it from leaking?

Tighten the connection? Replace the washer if it is worn at all. If either hose end is banged up (dented), you are pretty much SOL, unless you can pound the dents back out.
 
If the connections aren't bent or squashed, you might need new O-rings. And some teflon tape on the male end would help make sure that you can thread one inside the other all the way. If they're bent, squashed, etc, get a new hose! 😛
 
The washer is the culprit 90% of the time. Use two if you have to.

I finally solved that problem forever. I bought my last hoses from Sears. Guaranteed for life! I've already replaced them a couple times. They're made of higher quality parts in the first place and leaks are very rare.
 
Like Ornery said use 2 washers if you have to. Sometimes the male end doesn't fully seat into the washer because the threads don't go far enough. Also you can tighten some with a wrench at least on the female end.
 
THere's something you can buy called "thread tape" It usually work pretty well. Also, rubber washers if one is too big for the other
