You know how certain songs conjure up certain memories?

Yeah there are a bunch of them that remind me of my grandparents, when I was little, dead pets, etc. that make me really depressed.

A song that makes me melancholy, every time I hear it is...
George Michael's
"Father Figure"
The woman in the video looks very much like THE girl in high school that broke my heart when she split up with me after about two years. 🙁

For me, most songs that conjure up memories conjure up good memories....

Just loaded up "Casablanca" by Jessica Jay....reminds me of the summer of '95. *sigh*

I don't have any bad memories associated with songs but there are songs that will stop me in my tracks and take me back situations, friends, memories, etc...

It's wierd, almost like hallucinating. For example, I could be sitting at my computer desk, hear a song, and I no longer see the computer or my current surroundings...I'll see things like I'm actually back in the memory. It's really quite strange.

I usually associate songs with people who broke my heart. When I hear a song that reminds me of a painful time in my life, my heart beats fast, my hands shake, and I feel like I'm in the situation all over again.

It's really too bad, because I have good taste in music when I'm getting my heart broken.

🙁
