"You just unplugged a device from the audio jack"
"You just plugged a device into the audio jack"
These messages started popping up repeatedly. as in about 100 / hour. each instance triggers a very small break in the sound output; very annoying.
As best I can tell this started about 3-4 weeks ago. I've tried cleaning all of the connections between speakers & computer. (it's worked flawlessly for around a year to this point) Mobo/sound is a ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3. OS is Win7 home. Have tried replacing the realtek drivers (from ASRock website) version R2.62 is currently installed. Have tried updating nvidia drivers (314.07).
Any ideas? My speakers are connected via 2.5mm jack
