You just arrived to 2010 from 1990 via time travel...

I'd be impressed by the internet.

I'd be disappointed by how many people are so transparently insecure that they bury their faces in an electronic device when in public rather than interact with anybody.

Are you that annoying guy that tries to talk to people while they are trying to communicate with people they actually care about? Are you that guy?

What would impress you the most? What would disappoint you the most?

Obviously, we are assuming you are still the same age as back in 1990.

I would be impressed with the quality of video game graphics and disappointed with the lack of flying cars.

Impress: The internet
Disappointed: Lack of progress vs. cancer

Yikes... I was 17-18 in 1990. I would be VERY dissappointed in the lack of advancements in space travel - since nothing in that area has changed one bit from 1990. I would be impressed, however, with how much hotter all these chicks walkin' around seem to be..... but that just could mean I'm a bigger pervert now.

I was 6 in 1990, but even then I can totally relate to what you're saying about the women back then...but I think a lot of it may have to do with the styles back then...the hair and clothes were crazy!

The sheer difference in technology. In 1990, you were still watching VHS tapes... you see people putting "audio CDs" and getting incredible video quality... best part is they don't even have to rewind! 😛

I'd certainly decry the loss of the letter [H], but wow...where to start. There have been a LOT of changes since 1990...computers everywhere, in everything, controlling everything, cell phone/smart phone technology, teh intarwebs, changes in vehicle technology and styling, then, there's the huge political division that's become so...dividing here in the USA. seems like before, even though the two parties didn't always see eye-to-eye, they could still manage to work together and get things done...nowadays, it seems like party politics takes precedence over running the country.

Your community organizer has been very "uniting," amirite?

It would be a toss up between the USA having a Black President, and how anyone managed to take town the World Trade Center.

Also, I always liked cars since I was a kid, so I'd be pretty impressed by today's car designs, although slightly disappointed by their lack of power.

Also, HDTV.

My biggest love in 1990 was Stereo Equipment - I'd probably be really disappointed that it hasn't really improved thaaaat much from 20 years ago.

What would disappoint me the most: I had the ability to time travel, but only traveled 20 years.

It's like paying $200 for a night with a quality prostitute* so that you can sit at home with her while you fap to porn.

* - My estimates of current prostitute market value may include an error of ±$200.

In addition to the Internet itself (more particularly, the web), I'd add both cellphones and the ability to pay for pretty much anything anywhere with an ATM card.

Disappointed that America has become a nation of whiney, useless, liberal weaklings. Disappointed that we are basically losing two wars because of said weaklings. Disappointed that our president is one of said weaklings. Impressed by the advances in technology Apple has made.

You have finally earned a cookie. This and your replies are perfection. The sad thing is that this particular claim has worked for political and religious leaders for all of human history.

I'd be amazed by car's GPS.

Internet and stories of younguns becoming billionaires by creating internet trends before they're 25.

How everyone is connected to social networking.

WTC

Black President

I really miss 1990's cars.... there's way too much electronic shit n gizmos in cars these days. I love my 2004 sentra and everything in it is pretty analog. The last few years new cars are kind of full of useless electronic readouts and dashboards. Like... blue leds on your dash, cause, they are just so easy to read and cool! yeah! Next to your digital speedo!

Then I hop into like a '00 subaru and the dash doesn't make my eyes bleed, its kind of nice.

First of all, I would congratulate myself on having had the foresight to sterilize your Mom and slaughter the sow that would have squeezed out thelyingpig.

If AT only knew how much I'd improved their 2010 posting experience thereby, I'd probably be made Forum Director or something . . . :awe:

Are you saying you actually did that, but just kinda missed or something?
