Yeah. Gotta use the TNT version.
It's funny watching these movies on TNT/USA/random local network station and hearing what words they substitute for the censored words. You just can't watch Scarface on regular TV. Pains me to watch it.

Yeah, he did a beautiful job with GySgt Hartmann...
I wonder...where could he have learned that part so well?? 😛
"Private Pyle I'm gonna give you three seconds; exactly three-fucking-seconds to wipe that stupid looking grin off your face or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull-fuck you!"
"you ladies leave my island, if you survive recruit training, you will be a weapon. You will be a minister of death praying for war. But until that day you are pukes. You are the lowest form of life on Earth. You are not even human, fucking beings. You are nothing but unorganized grabastic pieces of amphibian shit. Because I am hard you will not like me. But the more you hate me the more you will learn. I am hard but I am fair. There is no racial bigotry here. I do not look down on *****, kikes, wops or greasers. Here you are all equally worthless. And my orders are to weed out all non-hackers who do not pack the gear to serve in my beloved Corps. Do you maggots understand that? "
I've seen many "Drill Instructor" movies over the years...none were done 1/100th as well as FMJ and Lee Ermey.

It is the most accurate depiction of the boot camp experience I have ever seen, at least as it was in the 1960's and 70's.

I never watch past the point where Pyle finally snaps, the rest of the movie just isn't worth it.

Yep. I had the priviledge of USMC Boot Camp in 1970 at MCRD San Diego. The few differences between the movie and real life are too small to mention...except that in the movie, they didn't show a single Black DI...and we had a couple.

Pogue Colonel: Whose side are you on, son?
Private Joker: Our side, sir.
Pogue Colonel: Don't you love your country?
Private Joker: Yes, sir.
Pogue Colonel: Then how about getting with the program? Why don't you jump on the team and come on in for the big win?
Private Joker: Yes, sir.
Pogue Colonel: Son, all I've ever asked of my marines is that they obey my orders as they would the word of God. We are here to help the Vietnamese, because inside every ***** there is an American trying to get out. It's a hardball world, son. We've gotta keep our heads until this peace craze blows over.
