Yes. Within a few days of having my DroidX, minor scratches began appearing. I already felt it was delicate to handle anyway, so I was very careful with it.
Got an OtterBox & couldn't be more satisfied. Dropped it a few times on accident & I'm still able to view porns as if it's brand new.
Although it does look like Otterbox should link up with Gorilla to make their screen protectors.

i have a droid 2 and i shattered the screen by dropping it about 10 feet from my shirt pocket. without the protector the phone would have been dead, but it still works great because the plastic held the glass together.

I bet you can remove the screen protector and it will be the same way, Almost everyone I see with a broken hardened glass which is cracked it still using it with no screen protector.

nice to know!

I dont see the EVO-3D on there though.. hmm

I'm guessing either they haven't updated the site with the EVO-3D yet or the screen modifications employed for the 3D prevents the use of GG. It is a bit concerning that the Sensation is listed on there... :hmm:

Haven't used one on my iPhone 4 and the screen looks flawless. However, there might have been visible wear if I hadn't swapped my phone about 4 times in a year for various issues. I'd still protect the back. For the back, I got the Zagg LeatherSkin, which works great with the Apple Bumper.

The iPhone 4 is not as great as I thought. I have been VERY careful and NEVER set it down on a hard surface and never had it in my pocket with anything that could scratch it.

I, too, have been through several. The first one I had for months and noticed small scratches appearing to the left of the ear speaker but I wasn't concerned about them because they were not on the visible screen area. A new one would appear every few weeks so it was probably something about a pocket in a certain pair of jeans or something, though I never found the cause and was always mindful of metallic fasteners and such. Many months later I swapped it out for one and it never got a scratch. Many months ater that I got another replacement and had a large semi-circular scratch appear on the front of the screen from who-knows-where. After a couple weeks, there were several following the same arc and I had dropped it and made a pinhole chip in the lower right of the visible screen's glass. I threw a screen protector on to hide the surface scratches and now the pinhole chip looks like a tiny bubble under the screen protector.

There have been replacements between those that I only had for a matter of days/weeks and they always looked great. It's strange that when scratches do appear more similar ones are sure to come soon. From now on I will always be using a screen protector no matter how tough the glass is supposed to be.

I didn't use a protector on my Droid 1, and the screen never had so much as a scratch. I haven't put a protector on my Thunderbolt since I bought it in April, no scratches. I'm extremely careful with my devices though. Devices with plastic screens, you need a screen protector though, the micro-scratches they accumulate will make the screen unusable.

I tend to use them on my phones, I tried one on my iPad2 and it was horrendous. 10$ experiment gone wrong.

I've had the 3G, 3GS and now the iPhone 4. I'm careful to place it in a pocket with nothing else, never put it down face down, etc. Never used a screen protector, only minimal cases that protect the back and sides. I've never had a single scratch, "/knock on wood".

My girlfriend recently got the 3GS and had a nice scratch on it after about 2 months but she puts it in her purse all the time.

I guess it depends on how adamant you are about keeping your phone away from other objects. I have found that no matter which protector they all seem to degrade the screen clarity to some extent and have a weird texture.

I dont. I never have liked the feel of the plastic compared to the glass. Anyhow, I do have 2 minor scratches on my iphone 4 but they are barely noticeable and I have had it since February.

I don't have anything on my thunderbolt. It's been fine, and I've had it since they came out (can't remember exactly how long that is).

I've had a 3GS for 2 years with no case, no GG, and no scratches. Whenever I put it in my pocket, the screen is flush with my wallet.

Nope, had my droid for about 18 months now and not a scratch. The body is showing wear now, especially where some coins rubbed a bit of the paint off the metal body. I don't really try to be overly protective with it.

GG is pretty awesome but like anything if it falls in certain angles or points it will have a tendency of shattering.

If you don't mind scratches, avoid it. I don't mind scratches, so, I never use a screen protector.

I don't use one for my ipad. I actually bought a set and ruined both of them trying to get them to attach correctly. Now I'm just like F it. If I get scratches I get scratches. I hate the sensation of dragging my fingers across those plasticky screen protectors anyway.

I learned something new today.

Presently have a screen protector on a Droid 1. It's a good protector, but turns out I don't need it.
