You guys have your kids get flu shots?

Why take the chance?
I have known two people pass away from the flu. One was a 56 y.o. male, the other a 41 y.o. female a couple years back.
There is zero reason for not getting a flu shot.

Because I am not concerned about the minuscule chance that I may die of the flu. I'm not afraid of getting it or anything I just don't care enough to be bothered to go out of my way to do so. If they still had them at my work I probably would but they stopped that several years ago.

I had two aunts die of the "flu" three years ago about a week apart, turns out they actually died of completely separate issues that were complicated by the flu.

Both people I referred about, died from the complications that influenza causes. Pneumonia and organ shutdown.

I think I'll have a discussion with the wife and maybe convince her to get one and have our kid get one also.

I just wasn't sure giving a 10-yr a flu shot was going to affect her developing immune system.

Seems like a no-brainer to me but i don't have kids. Why not talk to your/her doctor at the very least?
