Hehe....good point.
I don't know how, after the level of stardom he had early in life, he can play a place like the Star Bar and not kill himself afterwards. I mean, it's a really cool place, but I've played there for cryin out loud. I guess he's trying to prove that he's "all about the music" now or something.

A "review" of the show from a buddy of mine who actually went:
Johnny's hideaway must have been pretty empty Thursday night.
The band is called F-8. Not F minus 8, or F dash 8....you've gotta flow with it,
kinda like fate, whoops I said it!
Its time to change the oil in Leif's headgear (ie- "I'm not bald, I'm cool bandanna!")
He was drunk.
The band had LA looks.....not the hair gel....rather the tats and "Jean Loves Jezebel" hair.
Leif was wearing jeans that were at least 3 sizes too small for his outta shape arse.
His mic style was weak. Trying to rock hard, but it came across with a "whoa-a-whoa
living on a prayer Bon Jovi's Second Cousin formed a band" kinda thing. He obviously never took a class in public speaking either.
He didn't make eye contact with the crowd once. His eyes were either closed or looking
at the floor.
Did I mention that the music really sucked?
