ATi updates them every month because they HAVE to. Their driver team has come a long way, but they're still not nVidia caliber.

Both companies have buggy drivers, but if you notice, ATi notoriously has to make game bug fixes that often because...well...what I just said above. 😛

This topic is pretty silly. About as silly as what some of these nude mods "do" for some people. Im glad I dont have to depend on animated porn to get me off.

Most people dont have windows, and most cards are AGP so you cant even see the cooler. If you really care how it looks, go watercooling. A WC heatsink looks much better than air coolers do.

If you think there's something wrong with looking at nude women, animated or otherwise, I respect your beliefs and/or lifestyle.

Personally I dont believe whatever Ronin says after he tried to convince me in another thread on of his seven 6800 ultras, his 6800Ultra Extreme idled 40C with 50C load with the stock cooler and claimed the NV Silencer dropped his temps even more after that.

i dont think ATI's driver team is anywhere below nVIDIA's team...they both produce good drivers. there was a time when ATI sucked but thats a long time ago. although nvidia still does produce way way better drivers for Linux!!

Like I said, I wouldnt believe anything Ronin says due to the reasons in my other post.

Even if he was wrong in another post, he can be right ab out everything else? And I don't know that he was wrong in the other post?

Like I said, I'm pretty sure Ronin is associated with one of the big game developers. I know he's the only person that year in year out makes me envious of his huge hardware playground.
