Either call the owner if you can easily find a phone number or just turn it into the local police station and let them handle the return process.

WTF is up with all the dickscarfs in this thread - keeping money is wrong. It's not yours to keep.

Return it fully intact (probably by mail unless it's really close). I'm not guilt-tripping myself over $37.

I wouldn't actually want to meet "face to face" with the person, just somehow make sure that it got back to them. Most applicable poll option, lol. :D

Most of the peeps on this forum have less then 37 dollars in savings, I doubt that would happen ;)

Shens. Most ATOT'ers make over 100K a year, and drive Japanese luxury sports sedans. They said so themselves, so it must be true!

Find where he lives, rob his house, then leave his wallet w/ ID left in it.

I went out to get the morning newspaper last week and noticed I had left a rake in the bed of my pickup. When I went to get it out I then noticed a wallet in the bed too. It had an ID so I called the police and they came to pick it up. Someone probably threw it there after they stole it and emptied it of any money. My daughter had been driving my truck to work for the last couple of days and it probably happened there.

$37 is your dumbass tax for not paying attention to your wallet.
be happy you got your credit cards back and your id's.
that shit is a bitch to replace sometimes.

Is it OK to rob someone's house because they left their door unlocked too? Immoral shit.

stop comparing a house to a wallet or other people comparing a car to a wallet.

if someone looses their wallet, just be happy your getting your other stuff back. 37 dollars isnt worth an arguement over a person who went out of their way to give you back the wallet

But, what if by returning the money in the wallet, the original owner uses it to buy guns. Then goes on a killing spree and murders babies! Are you telling me you are ok with the murder of babies?

sicko.

i dropped my wallet in the park one night years ago when i was making out with some girl. next morning some guy calls me, tells me he found my wallet (i didn't even know it was gone) and arranges to meet me and gives me my wallet back, full with all the money that was in it. tried to give him a reward, but he refused. still thankful.

Leave it where you found it with all contents

Closest to my philosophy. I'd leave it at the nearest logical, safe place to where I found it (e.g. hotel lost & found, or police station) with all its contents.

When I was in college, the first time I went to the fitness center, my wallet fell out of my sweatpants. They closed before I discovered it, didn't get it back till morning, and $40 was gone. So I'd definitely leave $37. $3700 on the other hand...
