No. Return to Castle Wolfenstein came out years after the original FPS, Wolfenstein 3D.

GORILLAS.BAS?

Do you mean the old DOS game Gorillas? Where you threw the bananas using angles that you inputed to try to strike the other oponent (his gorilla). That game was so awesome back in the day.

I remember the days of Rainbow Six.. my friends and I used to play that and Quake III. I was the evil Player Killer that would joke and throw a frag under their feet then blame it on a terrorist 😛.

Three games do it for me: Unreal, Diablo, and KOTOR. Those games ruined it for all the others in my case. Perhaps Spore will be game #4 on my list, it takes a lot for a game to impress me.
KOTOR is another one I still install about twice a year.
Have the discs for Unreal 1 and Diablo 1, but I havent touched either in years.

I still play Dungeon Keeper 2 once in a while, I wish I still had my Dungeon Keeper 1 disc.
That game was superior in some ways.

for the same reason I'm back to condition zero. Although the source engine look much prettier, gameplay wise condition zero is still the best... IMO..

Yeah, I recently was reminiscing about AvP2 myself. Hell even the multiplayer was fun. Oh what fun that game would be on modern engines...

The AVP series on the PC as good as the AVP on the Atari Jaguar?

Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings which was my first RTS game and my favorite today. Even Company of Heroes doesn't do it for me like AoE2 did. Ahhh good times.

I just rembered 3 more games that I played alot.

Midtown Maddness 2- on-line fun as hell

Monster Truck Madness - online fun

Carmegedon TDR 2000

I was just in the forums when all of a sudden I remember Alien Vs Predator 2. Now that was a kick ass game. That thought spawned the thought of Undying. Another kick ass game.

Then I look at today and become disappointed. Its just hard to find an engaging FPS today, even yesterday. It seems like 2006 is going out with no good FPS in it. A whole freaking year.

AvP2 was awesome. I can definately still remember the 'survivor' multiplayer. Server jammed full with marines and only 1 alien. Somehow, that 1 always managed to turn into 10. Then theres the firing squad of marines with smart guns, mini-guns, flames and pulse rifles killing everything running down the hall. But the best was when you were the only left and went rambo with the pulse rifle or flamethrower re-enacting Hudson "mother******!"...Good times🙂.
