You Democrats will do anything to keep Conservatives quiet.

Is it really appropriate for Ahnold to air his private sex life as part of his political campaigning? Or is this just a private joke he told that leaked out into the mainstream media? (Ahnold is well known for his crude sense of humor).

The more I read about Arnold, the more I like the guy. He just doesn't seem to come off as phony as do a lot of politicians. He seems like he'll just say whatever is on his mind, no matter who he pisses off. No need for triple-filtering and watering-down to appease the most people possible. We need more politicians like that. :)

As well as groping unsuspectin women.

I really don't want any information on Arnold's sex life. If, as the title of this thread suggests, Democrats will do anything to keep Conservatives quiet then please, just tell this Democrat what I have to do to keep Arnold quiet about this.

cK I agree. Politics is all about ass-kissing and pandering, but it's refreshing to see glimmers of someone who is sincere and says what he believes, etc...

Arnold was not hired for the job because he was a politician, but because he is famous, and could get votes that way. Otherwise, you might want to read up about him. He is literally infamous in Hollywood for saying absolutely whatever is on his mind, without regard for tact, diplomacy, or even good taste. While some (myself included) find such people to be a breath of fresh air because of their honesty, you have to admit they often look the fool.

Indeed, but I loath the fact that "looking the fool" has been turned into such a huge no-no by the media or whatever. People are not perfect. People make mistakes. So what? I'd rather have a real person who freely slips up from time to time, in the course of speaking his mind, than one who seems immaculate at all times, but only because he is constantly reciting pre-approved lines.

I don't want a trained monkey representing me by telling me what he thinks I want to hear, I want someone who truly thinks like I do and is not afraid to show it, for better or for worse.

True. But there's a lot worse things to be than a loud mouth.
