WTF! It's was like the Christian Children's Fund.... but with older Jews instead of little starving children.

The show was talking about helping return a Jew from the Soviet region, back to Isreal! They said that the people were too poor to get back themselves.

And to top it all off.... this was on on BET channel!!!!!

Has anyone else seen this?!?!

I don't understand why ANY Jews would want to go to Israel now. I thought they meant you could help Jews get OUT of the middle east.

This really belongs more in the Politics forum but...

There is always a drive to get more Jews into Israel, stricty on a numbers basis. Pretty soon Jews will be outnumbered by Palestinians/non-Jews- not a good thing in a Jewish state.

If you think things are bad in Israel, they are 100x worse in post-Soviet Russia. Since the fall of the republic anti-semitism is on the rise, as it is all over Europe.

Now, why they would run this on BET is anyone's guess (cheap), but there are Black Jews.

LOL!! It's amazing how the news can skew our perceptions of things, isn't it? Israel is NOT as dangerous a place to live as the news would make it out to be. Actually, you are far more likely to be murdered in the US than be killed by terrorism in Israel.
