You can hear the fighter jets in Seattle

It's nearly 2am in Seattle and with SeaTac airport shutdown the sound of jets flying about are a couple of military jets. The night sky is clear with a partial waning moon. It is so very quiet with the exception of these jets. So very errie.

ditto here in Houston. sounded like a really close plane, freaked me out, but then realized it was fighter jet flying at a standard altitude. it's night, but you can tell its a fighter jet because of it's speed, sound, and the quickly blinking red lights.

Its been eire out here in los angeles.. no buzzard flying.. not even glendale / burbank city police choppers .. its absolutly quiet.

I havent heard police cars with sirens too.. damn everybody is being nice and peaceful.

goog_guy, I'm out here in Redondo Beach and I heard three planes fly right over my house starting at 1 AM (Yes, me too). One I could not see, one came out of the north about 5 minutes later and swung towards the Southeast, and a third just went South about 30 minutes after that. I have no idea if they were fighterjets. All I saw was a single blinking white light and I heard the roar of the engines.
