Listening to Hotel California. Greatness! I wish I had tickets to the Eagles concert. What are you favorite Eagles' songs?

I thought you were referring to something about ATOT :D

That's probably true for a lot of their fans. Then again that is probably true for fans of any group. I am Gen X, so I wasn't listening to their music when it first came out. I just heard this song on the radio one day and decided to buy one of their albums. I am pretty eclectic though when it comes to music.

The only noncontrived Eagles music in their entire catalog is the first few notes of Take It Easy, which was the first song on their first album.

The only redeeming quality to the Eagles is that they made Joe Walsh rich (but mostly ruined his music). Other than that they are pretty much pure corporate music (be it rock, country, pop, whatever).
I think the popularity of the Eagles has as much to do with nostalgia as it does with their actual music. I'd put Jimmy Buffet in the same class.

Well, since I thought your topic title was referring to ATOT, Hotel California may be a good theme song for OT. :) I do prefer the Gypsy Kings version though.
