Porsche. 944. You'll hate me for getting you addicted to the car, but you'll never want anything else to drive as long as you live. Unless you happen to try a 914 sometime...

928? never drove a 944...but friend in HS had a 928. man that car was sweet. even though it got 9mpg
Maintenance nightmare if anything fails. Bigger and heavier than I like too, but it's an amazing automobile. The 928 is a family car, a great Gran Touring car, but it's not the purer sportscar that the 944 is. And the 911 is, of course, in its own class.

The 944 is almost catlike. It just reads the driver's mind. And the 914 is a step better than that, though it's a rather unrefined little car it has amazing driving feel.

How about a 911?

Edit-I've always been kind of partial to them.

How much to buy? for a solid one in good shape?

My father-in-law had one. 1989 911 Targa. I think he paid about $35k for it in the early 90s and it had about 40k miles on it. He traded it in for a Mercedes SUV when they first came out. I really wish he had talked to me first though. I would have given serious consideration to buying it from him. I drove it a few times and really enjoyed it. Nice car!

If I only had the balls to make such an irrsponsible purchase🙁

(for someone in my position that is🙁

Do it. Why? Because you want to, and you'll REALLY, REALLY love driving it.

I know🙁 ..but I will really really hate paying for it🙁

How mcuh hp/ft.lb does it have?

16.2 lb/hp...really not a great number, but that car isn't so much about acceleration as HANDLING.

Cars with engines in the back > * around the corners.

Oh brother. Who gives a flying fvck what a bunch of FWD, cable shifting, boyracers have to say about "rowing through the gears" on their challenging daily commutes?

Yes, me too. 1800 freakin' pounds!!!

My car is MR, and while obviously a stick shift isn't a great deal of "fun" on a daily commute, I've taken it on plenty of backroads where a stick is just incredibly awesome. Some of us DO take our cars out on the weekends, y'know.

Oddly, a neighbor of mine has one..I think it was an exige though, and I drove next to him today for oever a mile.....SICK car...

I had to hell "that was a great choice" to the dude because it was nice....

Noting liek pullign up to a light without noticing it, and then seeign the space " L o t u s" letters on the back..I was like"no, it can't be"😛
