pricing for the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro showed up on Best Buy website. i5 model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD starting at $1000. I've got the original 13-inch and was extremely satisfied. Would definitely recommend for somebody looking for a lightweight laptop. It's got a 3200 x 1800 resolution screen! I don't think it's got 5GHz wifi though.

Just search "Yoga 2 pro" on the Best buy website.

Good to see Lenovo pricing their ultrabooks sensibly. $1200 for an i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD. Meanwhile, Samsung's Ativ Book 9+ is $1400 for an i5, 4GB, and 128GB SSD

Lenovo had a 20% off code (since expired) which allowed me to get the i7/8GB/512GB for $1320. A comparatively spec'd system elsewhere I can only imagine.

How's the battery life on the new one? I am looking for something that can deliver at least 8 hours.

I'm hearing mix thigns on the batter life. There are long threads @ notebookreview forum:

My guess from what I've read is that it is a bit shorter than the samsung 9+ but a bit longer than the acer - maybe 5 to 6 hours depending on how you use it. The sony pro 3 seems to take the crown 9 esp since you can get an optional external battery that doubles the life).
-
I have a mac airbook (2013 model) that seems to last 8ish hours (video on cross country flights).
-
I'm waiting to see how the new macbook pro and asus perform before picking.

What size MBA is yours? I thought the 13" was good for 10+ hours of video which is why I'm looking at it for my next pc.

The MBA release set my Haswell expectations too high with regards to battery life. I was really hoping the windows ultrabooks including the yoga 2 would be competitive but it doesn't look like that's the case.

I haven't used my all that extensively yet, but ~6 hours web battery life seems about right. It's a bit disappointing, but it's enough for my needs.

Comparing the new 13" Macbook Pro to the MBA, it seems there certainly is a price to be paid for a high resolution screen.

Mavericks has upped the MBA battery life by a boatload as well. Nothing can touch it now.

I have a 13inch MBA (actually it is a work machine; and the screen is not that great - it isn't a resolution thing - it just lacks saturation and angle viewing)
-
8ish hours is an estimate - i never run it completely to 0; when I use it in an office (travelling) for mail/web it doesn't quite last the full day (8-9 hours) unless i turn the screen off (and use external monitor)
