all our classes ere over by 5 i think
certian labs went longer but that was about it
many classes are later to accomodate professionals who can only take classes at night. i know that University of Michigan has an evening MBA program.
discrete math is undergrad
still, i believe that's the reason for offering classes at night. the UofM grad program was just an example. i assume that more regional/smaller schools do this than larger universities. i'm more surprised that you've never heard of night classes in college before...

Seriously though, I work fulltime and my college offers nighttime classes. I tried classes during the day and working at night and it was a disaster.
