Was the Yo-yo craze of the late 90's just a california thing or did it effect the rest of the nation too?

I felt sorry for kids that purchased Pogs, like they were going to be worth something next year.

Sort of like having insider info on Bre-X or Enron and watching people buy those stocks.

entire nation, i still have a few hundred pogs and 10 yo-yos in an attic somewhere
