Whoa- i had that exact same thing happen to me about a year ago

It was with an Antec PP303X <i think that's what it was called> and my MSI6309 mobo . . . exact same pins too!

Ah yes the smell of burned nylon and phenol resin...

Overclocking is pretty much an asymetric path. You upgrade your cooling to remove the excessive heat from the processor. However, you cannot upgrade the power paths on the mainboard. Exceed the safe operating limit and burning occurs.

This is like the guy who builds up his motor so his car goes real fast, but does nothing with his brakes! I think you get the picture. At least with the car, one CAN upgrade their binders...

so you determined that it was your power supply pretty much?

some people i've been talking to think that the electricity travelled through the waterblock and burned out my mobo...

In my case it was most definitely my psu. I had a CompUSA badged PowerMax. What a pos.. never again.
Actually, from those pics up in the first post, it looks like just the 5v lines on that psu connector/mobo header as well (same as mine.)
