I thought it was rather hallarious, but that again lies in the fact that cartoons and propaganda can trump the laws of Physics and logic.

Why do we clap and appaud for the road runner and bugs bunny, who can transend the laws of gravity, by remaining standing with out falling, unsupported in thin air for many seconds at a time, but as soon as Wile E. Coyote and Elmer Fudd try to duplicate the results, the annimtors forget to endow them with the same gravity defying powers.

Cartoons are so not the real world, as much as we all want to pretend.
