Dremel 3956-01 MultiPro Variable Speed Super Kit with Flexible Shaft

Sears is clearencing the Dremel Kit (seen here ) for $44.97. It's been replaced/discontinued for a while, so it they may or may not have them at your store. (Mine had three on the clearence shelves)

"The kit includes the MultiPro tool, convenient case with storage compartments, wrench, 75 bits, flex shaft, two clamps,... "

if you can't find one at Sears, try Lowes; I saw about 10 of them on the clearance table Sunday for the same price. nice kit

The Lowes markdown is of a lesser model - a 28xx something. It was 2 speed (not variable) and many of the options were not included such as the $25 flexshaft...etc.

This bites... I just bought the same model at Lowes for $64.xx (or close to that price). I can't return it either because I've used it quite a bit and it definitely looks used now.

I needed to get this so I could do some cutting on an acrylic case. The fan holes were not fully cut out, and was restricting air flow.

Oh f-ing well... Live and learn...

ANYWAY, HOT PRICE!! Defintely get this if you are wanting a Dremel tool. It had almost everything you need to cut on cases (alum, steel, acrylic, etc..) I only had to buy the reinforced cut off wheels.

Couldn't you buy it at a lower price and return the new one? If you're still within the return time limit.

I've used it quite a bit, and the dremel, is covered in acrylic dust (I can't clean it off, I've tried all kinds of cleaners). and several of the sandnf drums, and cut off wheels have been used.

It's extremely obvious that I DID use it, and Lowes probably won't take it back. Besides, I don't want to drive to one part of town take it back, and then fight traffic and construction just to drive across town to buy it from Sears. The price difference is not worth it to me.

huesmann is recommending that you commit fraud bu buying a new one from Sears and returning the new one to Lowes at the higher price. You still end up keeping the used one, but you get a little money back.

In case it wasn't clear from my post. I totally disagree with this approach.

How's it fraud? You're giving Lowe's back exactly what they gave you, a brand new Dremel.

Just to put the isue to rest.... I'm not going to buy hte one at Sears, and then return it to Lowes.

I've already stated that I have to drive to one part of town, buy hte dremel, and then drive to another part of town, in heavy construction and traffic, just to return it for a few dollars.

It is just not work the aggrevation, frustration, and general B.S. to save the few dollars.

A hot deal for Dremel users:
Costco has these drill packages and dremel packages for $20 or $30 that include hundreds of pieces. I picked up one of each, pretty hot deal if you ask me. The dremal one includes pretty much any accessory bit you can imagine. The drill bit one has every type of drill bit you need for almost anything, and the cool thing is it includes several bits of the smallest sizes (those ususually are easiest to break).

Good post

I have been hunting for the Dremel 3956 kit for about two weeks. I hope I can find one at sears.
The ones on ebay go for about the same as this clearance price.
