B&M HifiBuys in my area (Georgia) are having a clearance on the 80 hour model for $179.99. The few stores I called around Atlanta said they either have it in stock or can get it. May be the same at other Tweeter stores. It has been pulled from their website but the last I saw it there it was $299. Activation is not included as you'd expect. But for those looking to buy the 40 hour model for $125-$150, this may be an alternative to consider. No point if you are into upgrading the HD yourself - save the money and get the 40 model.

I picked one up earlier this week and attempted to transfer lifetime from a 5504 (December deal) to this one. That was a no go, so I will take this back. I am using DV Archive anyway to help with the space issues on the 40 model.

I noticed that Circuit City and CompUSA still have them for $299. Apparently Circuit City has a clearance inventory code on them also but no price reduction, still $299 on website.

Don't know if ReplayTV is phasing out the 80 hour model or if there is a model change coming soon. Please post if you know.

Go get a 5040 directly from ReplayTV and buy a 120+Gig HD for it instead. 5040s have the commercial advance and internet video sharing. Don't forget, all of these units require $12.99/month or $299/3 year activation.

I can't find them in stock at any of my local Circuit Cities and CompUSA. Makes me wonder if they are bringing out new models soon.
