Is this the shredder? http://www.meci.com/PDF/CAT115_1-8.pdf

I have a Xerox shredder that has far better specs than the one listed on Officedypo ... and it only costed $29. Don't know why they would list that one as $160 regular price :) Jokes on them .. or their customers.. or...

The one at your store is different. For example, the OfficeDespot model (P600C2) shreds seven sheets, not six. Also, it looks different.

BTW: You still hate TigerDirect? Or the forum won't let you change your user name?

Ok. I guess it's a good deal to ebay then. But still, the Xerox one i have shreds 8 sheets and the mechanic to it are far better than other brands I've seen. trust me.. i've gone through alot of shredders :) The only thing i don't like about it is that it's supposed to shred credit cards... In my experience, it doesn't shred those high interest rate ones ... no really...

Yeah, I don't hate tiger direct anymore, but I can't change my name - somehow, it won't let me

This shredder was a good deal for the price (I got it via FW too), but that's it, it is quite flimsy and cheap built.

It's perfect for a gift.

After going through many shredders, I found out that the heavier they are, the longer they last.

And cut cross are much more suspectible to failures than normal ones.

BTW I hate TG too, but instead of using that as my id, I badmouth them wherever I have the opportunity to.

Ahh--impetuous youth--How our youthful choices permanently affect the rest of our lives :D

I've had a Fellowes shredder that's still going strong after 3 years, but it cuts into strips, not confetti.

that store won't give it to you. the manager said that if you had a problem with it, you'd better call them.

so, should i call that store now?

This is SOOO freak'in true. never even thought about it this way... haha. The xerox one i have weighs like 20lbs..

I had a hard time finding one of these also (in houston), heard some company was buying a boatload of these...

Went to my local OM at 7am. The CSR said they were all out (I showed them my confirmation email). I went back to the shredders and found one on display. Told them about it and there was no problem...they rang it in at 4.44. Then the same CSR said he knew he had this. Either way...I win.
I guess they are trained to lie when put on the spot.

is this deal still available on the website? coming up as $102.52 for me, would rather not deal with checking out unless its worth it.

Many of those stores that were OOS, were magically back in stock the following day. I was in two ODs since last Friday. Both of them had them in stock. I was even able to exchange one of the two I originally bought - it was bad.
