just got back and OD had one of these UPS for $88 - 50% discount in their clearance rack. total was $44.44, the regular price for these units are $120 at OD and the MSRP is $148 (according to belkins site)

specs
Batter Load Capacity: 800VA (450watts)
Batter backup outlets with surge protection: 4
Surge protected outlets (not including the ones from above): 2
USB/serial connector
Built in eithernet surge protection.
45minutes of batter life (according to box, would not do that on my 19" monitor i bet)

Model F6C800-UNV

one of my friends went to an OD one town over and they had the same deal.

also, they had a logitech USB optical cordless mouse in the same clearance bin for $20 with %50 off for it being in the bargin bin, so you could add those 2 together, use the coupon and get the mouse for free, i am unsure of the model of the longitech.

Got the last one (that I could find) at the Newberry Office Depot (Gainesville, FL). It rang up $89.02 and I asked, "Isn't it clearance for $44?"

The cashier was like, "Sure, I'll give it to you for $44."

Sweet deal.

very YMMV, my OD acted like I was an escaped mental patient when I asked them to check if it was $44. (was on shelf for 89).

What are the odds of me getting one of these at at West Coast OD? , I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of getting shot down every time I try to get in one a hot deal lately.

welp I went to my local OD and no dice on the Belkin 800VA for $44.44 ......however they did have one APC 725VA unit for $59.02 on the clearance shelf ..it was NIB and I need one now so I got it. Not the greatest deal but not the worst either.

The only thing they had was a 500va version but for $26 I said sold! Also had a selection of video cards at decent prices, not the latest and greatest but if you haven't updated in a couple of years you need to check it out.

That 500va is a good enough one for now and if you can get in a deal like this in the future, then you have a UPS for both your PC and your monitor which means longer up time! 🙂
