So in light of the new Sandy Bridge/Chipset announcement, are you going to:

1. Just move everything to 6g ports and hope for the best?
2. RMA your processor and board and start again in April?
3. Revert back to stable equipment prior to SB for a new build?

I waited for SB to come out and now this, pretty freakin' frustrating...
 
If the system works...don't sweat it. It MAY develop problems over time...or it may not. I'm sure ASUS will have some type of support mechanism in place for RMA'ing boards that do have problems. (then you'll get to tear your system down and build it again! :yippee:

HEY...you guys did teach me well, I had the heatsink off, cpu cleaned, put back on, and everything up and running again in about 25 minutes last night!
 
Yeah, I notice a lot of these "problem" threads getting cleared up formatting the disk in disk management. I think just because Intel said it's a problem, everyone thinks they have it... I think there is a psychological term for that...?
 
I'm not gonna worry. In three years you'll be on the i5 5500K anyway. And like you say, it's just a 5% chance that some of the ports will fail.
