In Lord of Chaos, when Elayne, Nynaeve, Aviendha, Mat, Thom, and Julian are traveling to Ebou Dar, how come Elayne started acting that way to Mat? Like all telling him what to do and saying what a good job he did and stuff....like why did they way she act toward him change so wierdly?
And second, how come Nynaeve acts so freaked out around him now, I never understood...

You don't remember Mat's Angreal that "draws" weaves into it (for lack of a better term)? It basically makes him invulnerable to channeling. No one can channel anything at him directly, only in a round-about manner (like picking up a rock with a flow of air and throwing the rock at him).
If that's not the answer then just write it off to R.J. making all the female characters in WOT biatches ;)

Blah don't waste your time with that series!

*rushes out to buy the next book with no substance*

I really wish he could put substance back in and stop it with these last few '1000 pages of nothing but fluff' books.

R.J. *claims* there will only be 2 more books, including the upcoming book 11. He also *claims* there will be actual plot advancement and tying-up of loose ends in book 11 :Q

Because Jordan has become such a sellout and has no more original ideas in his head to possibly prolong the series so it makes him more money? His ideas of the complete speratism between men and women have gotten so old and dull.

Oh yea, and why are you reading these crappy books? Nobody should have ever read past book 6, and used that as an ending.

EDIT: Rant time.

Why are so many people reading his books now? Is it because of the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy that people are latching on the other next high selling series? Or is it because people are actually so intrigued by his plot and character development in the last 7 books that they are left enthralled by his massive book count?

I've been re-reading them since they came out. At this point, I hate the books but the first half of them had me so thoroughly engrossed that I have to read until the end. I have hated the last 3.

When I first read the books I starte out loving them..then slogging thru the later books as it was mostly no action and all Politics within the different Lords and Ladies etc etc...but now that I'm a little older, I'm started to appreciate the struggle for power and the scheming and stuff.

The series really started to suck with the "intruge" when Jorden made his wife into his manager...... big mistake.

She is treating him that way, because she is trying to "control" him. Like taming a wild horse. They figured he was too "flightly" to have with them as he is. Nyneve is that way because they told her to stay the hell away from him, because she can't control her temper. It would distub their plan to get him under control.

And yes, the series has gone downhill. The remake of "New Spring" however was quite enjoyable to me. It almost made me excited about WoT again.
