actually you would... people live on their horns here...

*HONK!* the light turned green .3 seconds ago! move!
*HONK!* what you punk why are you turning still!
*HONK!* move faster than 50mph lady!
*HONK!* stupid fedex truck is blocking the lane
*HONK!* you nearly hit me pulling out of the parking lot because i was going 20mph over the limit and wanted to zoom through the yellow light two blocks ahead.

You sound like me. My friends think I bring it upon myself, but I stand by the fact that 95% of all the other drivers are MORONS 🙂

Love the new rant... good to see your road rage coming out and getting the best of you.... i wonder if there is a RRA group out there somewehre.. (road rage anonymous) I'd join. 😀

Well as I said before if somebody doesn't put their foot down on the road out there nothing will change. I'm taking steps to make it safer for ALL of us!

I hate wussy drivers too... especially the docile idiots who just sit there as people steal their green light.
Needless to say I'm about the only person I've ever seen honk at somebody if they are going through a red light taking a left and stealing my green doing so.

No you're not. I hate that. Not only do I honk I also pull forward as if I'm going to him them. Try to scare the hell out of them.

Sweet! That's what I do too, and then hit the brakes obviously so that they don't hit me so that they can think that I was not paying attention and that only through my last minute movement did I manage to keep their stupidity from causing an accident.

Hey I don't pretend I'm the best driver in the world, but these are my stories.

You mean when people pullout into the middle of the intersection to turn left, waiting for a break in traffic and often can't turn before the light turns red. Is that what you are talking about?

I cringe when I let someone get in front of me, particularly when I have pole position. While I'm being nice more often than no that person will go on to drive slow, or make the next light while I don't.

I thought people couldn't drive any worse then they all started buying cellphones.

Oooh, how about those people in the left turn lane who decide they want to go straight instead, so they just slap on the right blinker and hold up traffic while everyone else pays for their mistake.

Same goes for the knuckleheads that block the straight lane with their blinker on hoping to get into the left turn lane for that matter.

No, that's fine. I'm talking about when they have a light - perhaps a green arrow for instance - and it goes orange and then finally red and people are still going as if it exists. Meanwhile my light has gone green and I'm waiting for these punks to finish turning.

BHAM, is that near LMAO?
lol

I LOVE how people think just because they have there turn singal on they think they have the right of way. Every day I scream to myself in the car on how bad people drive its is amazing, the more time driving the more i see how many morons are on the road. It reminds me of the married with children episode where al is at the DMV and they are giving a driver license to a blind guy, and a kid about 5 years old just barley tall enough to reach the counter.

Well just remember if they are in the intersection, they have declared it, and by law they are allowed to legally finish their turn even if the light turns red. I get annoyed when people don't declare the intersection and I have to sit behind them waiting to turn.

There was a comedian who did a bit on that...

Sitting in the left turn lane, the light turns green, a few cars get through, it's yellow, he's still a few cars back, he's tailgating the car in front of him, getting pissed because they are taking to long to go. He's almost to the intersection, he goes for it, the light turns red as he's going through. He's feeling all pressured as he's broken the law, yadda yadda.

Then he looks in his mirror and 3 more people are following behind him scooting through the red.

There are so many intersections here that the Left Turn signal is too short and the interval between lights is a bit long. There's a few that have dual lanes and go back probably .25 mile, and they'll let maybe 5 cars through before turning yellow. If you know there are that many cars, time the light a bit longer, at least during rush hour.

OTOH, those same places-- Even though they are stealing time from the green, they aren't causing me to wait a 2nd round on the straight-thru. So, it doesn't bother me much.

I've never seen a cop write a ticket for that -- and -- I've seen 'em at the intersections too, just idling along waiting to go thru on straight and a few cars will blip thru. Nothing.

At least the red-light cameras are illegal here. I agree with that. If red-light running is a problem, it's most likely a traffic engineering situation. Adjust the lights / timing and the problem drops dramatically. Install a camera and you just raise money for the city/state. Guess which solution is more popular? $$$ or Safety? $$$ wins.

Actually the intersection I see this most at I saw two cops in the span of a week give tickets to people doing exactly this - it turns red and they scoot on through their left turn anyway!

Hey Skoorbie, I hit the horn and shout at them through the windshield remember! 😀

A sure sign of a "keeper", eh? 😉

You have to remember the four main reasons for deploying Horn:

1. The light is green.
2. The light is red.
3. I hate you.
4. This motor vehicle is equipped with a horn.

Fausto1 - I use an air horn rated at 120dB. I suggest you try one. It's quite satisfying. 😀

sorry, im a guy who doesnt honk. the first thing that comes to my mind is trying not to get killed. honking comes to my mind like 10 seconds later, when the incidient is long over. i have never used my horn in my two years of driving.
