Yet another stupid n00b question, how do you rename files?

I have dvd.img but for some reason nero 6.6 ultra doesn't support .img files. I've read in quite a few places that I can rename dvd.img to dvd.iso and that will fix the problem but I can't rename it!

If I right click on the file and click rename, it turns into dvd.img.iso. How the hell do I rename it so that it's dvd.iso?

3. Explorer.exe -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab -> Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types."
 
Tools --> Folder Options --> view --> uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" --> ok --> right click file --> rename

Modify appropriately.
 
Most entertaining part of this thread is the OP is named "Fleshlight", which is something that lonely guys put their wangs in.

Obviously he has a controlling interest in the company that produces said "Fleshlight."
