I fully understand that 2GB RAM would be better, but for the moment it'll be 1GB. I'm planning to game with this machine, as you can see, on a 1280x1024 17" monitor (games like Oblivion, FEAR, etc). Criticism/any heads-up would be greatly appreciated. =)

Looks good except, you guessed it, the memory.

May i ask why your spending all that ca$h but only getting 1gig of memory? Especially w/ Vista, you're going to need at least another gig. You can find good 2 x 1gig kits for only about $50 more than you are already spending.

Just my opinion: that 17" monitor seems awfully small for such a nice rig! :)

And yes, do get another Gig RAM. 1GB is barely enough for Oblivion in XP. I can't imagine how it'll run in Vista with just one Gig. I strongly recommend getting another gig.

Hey man, I think u picked the wrong mobo by accident. Thats the DS3 with onboard video. U want the 965P, not 965G
