The rules are for thee, not for me...

Republican FL state rep Joseph Harding was charged with wire fraud, money laundering, and making false statements for taking more than $150,000 in Covid relief funds obtained by lying on the applications.

"State Rep. Joseph Harding obtained more than $150,000 in SBA loans by ..." having "listed dormant business entities on his applications, fabricated the numbers of people he employed and submitted fake bank statements."

He pled not guilty in court, apparently because he says he repaid the loan and cooperated with investigators. Well, golly, that makes it all not criminal, doncha know.

Monty Python:
Defendant: “Well yes I did do it but seeing has how you are all so looking forward to the trial I plead, “Not Guilty”.
Taking advantage of a liberal give away program is divine retribution not a crime. It's not theft to steal from the people who rob you with taxes. It is charity to take from people who are begging to be robbed.

More FL Republicans acting badly - stealing millions from program designed to help victims of domestic violence.

Tiffany Carr served as the Chief Executive Officer and Patricia Duarte the Chief Financial Officer of the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Carr was able to cash in more than $7 million in paid time off in less than four years. They even had a board of directors who okayed more than $3.7 million in bonuses and vacation alone paid to Carr and Duarte. and who now say "“We, we, miscalculated." Ya think?

The two have been charged with felonies for participation in an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, and official misconduct.
