Yet another reason why Fry's rocks

My wife and I went there the other day to just wander around like we tend to do once a week or so and they had a lady there playing live music on a piano in the middle of the store, nothing special there since they've done it before.

As we're walking around though, I hear Nirvana's "Come as you are" being played all the sudden on it.

Never before have I heard it done on a piano before and she did it justice.

We have a Fry's now (yep, in the sticks) and I am really getting to like it. Some prices are a little more than newegg but there is no shipping charge.

Fry's strikes me as a combination of Best Buy and Office Depot. I stopped at one in Dallas (Irving actually) a few months ago (first time ever) and was impressed.

as long as you know exactly what you want and where it is in the store, the fry's elec here are ok. but god forbid you have a question. you may as well go over and ask the cashier at the cafe for advice.

i do have to say tho... the first time i walked into that store with my world of warcraft hat on, i got instant service from 3 techs in the hardware section. they also started talking about what realm they play on, and asked me where i got the cool hat. i wear it everytime i go there now.

I must be lucky cause there are 2 Fry's stores in Houston, 1 Microcenter, bunch of Best Buys and also directron.com is based here.

We've got Fry's, Microcenter, TigerDirect, Circuit City, and Best Buy here. Fry's is the longest drive, but I'd rather go there than anywhere else.
