when girls say something like "hey, I would sure like to go to ____" or "if only someone would go with me to ____" is it a signal for the guy to ask them out? Coz often that happens to me but I've always been too stupid to act. Today a girl said to me "I'd love to go to the beach." But of course I said something stupid like "yes, you should." Damn it, I like her but I'm kinda busy or I really would've said "let's go right now." Oh well, another missed opportunity.

You had nothing to lose, you should ask the girl out next time. I mean the way I see it is that the girl wants to go with you but doesnt have enough confidence to directly ask you so she hints about it.

Yes thats even better than my suggestion....you're not saying no and closing the door while on the other hand you're not completely committing to something you might not be able to fulfill in the next week or whatever.

the weekend is over...but wouldn't it be weird to tell her i suddenly feel like going to the beach only after she mentioned it? And I'm still busy with stuff. And yes i have her number and I live just 1 floor down from her....so close yet so far apart...
