I need some inspiration and it seems like it's been a few months since the last one of these :thumbsup:

planning on redoing my home office this summer after my roommate/freeloader moves out, and high on the list (after running coax into the room for my modem, patching over some holes in the wall, and repainting) is replacing my dining room table-turned-desk with a proper desk.

I totally fell in love with http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50219044/ but I think 73" might be too long for my room. gotta go to the store and look at it in-person to see if that measurement is including those side shelves which look removable.

I could see that... I'd probably ditch the side-shelves and not use the lower-center one (or if anything, have it be close with the desk just to allow room to slide my keyboard under the monitors)... but I like that it has some consideration for cable management and not having to have my computer on the floor, which I kinda hate.

used to have a galant, but I ditched it when I moved. felt a little too big for me at the time (though I've since gone from a single 19" monitor to dual 24")

If you're concerned about the L-desk, they now have a stupidly big conference table. Accessories also available to keep the case off the floor, screens, and shelf:

Also, look for the SIGNUM cable rack. It's all wire instead of the GALANT one in the link above, so easier to work with. Oh, and for some reason they have dividers too now.
