Here are a couple Asiatic dayflower shots for you. Dayflowers only last for a few hours while the sun is out. When they're done blooming for the day, the petals melt into little blobs of goo. In hot weather they melt before the hottest part of the day, so sometimes each bloom only lasts a single morning.

I'm still not quite happy with the lighting on this one. It's close to how I wanted it, but not quite. I'm not even sure what it is I don't like about it.

This is a much closer view of the stamens of the same flower.
