Well, when I worked for UPS we used to get notes on the door refusing packages on the door all the time. Whenever we got the note we'd simply mark the delivery as refused, throw the package back on the truck, and leave an infonotice confirming the delivery was refused. That way if there was an error the receiver could get it stopped at the hub and re-delivered.

So if the OP had left a note, the package would have been refused. There doesn't have to be someone in person to refuse it. Thus the package would have been sent back to Newegg and the OP wouldn't be dealing with UPS over this.

The whole OP works on whether the OP's brother is telling the truth. Did he actually see the driver stop across the street and not come to his house or just hear the truck? UPS trucks just drive down a street one way and hit both sides of the street. If that's the case then did the OP go across the street and talk to his neighbors?

i agree the OP needs to go across the street and talk to his neighbor and or look in the bushes.

BUT really that does nto matter. the OP (claims) that they didnt deliver it. thats all that matters.

its nto his fault, its not neweggs its ups. he needs to call them and bitch. if that gets him nowhere then yeah issue a chargeback.

I tend to order things on newegg after 5pm so they don't get processed till the next day just in case I get buyer remorse. As for UPS my only complaint is the driver doesn't knock unless it requires a signature. Luckily I can tell when he shows up thanks to my one eyed dog having a shit fit.

Yea, this is daft. I ordered at newegg today at noon, decided better of it 2 hours later. Logged in and the order is "Charged". I locate the customer service contact, and they have a convenient chat feature. I ask to have the order cancelled.

They can't it has shipped. I check the status and it is changed to shipped. I know it has not shipped. They say they can't cancel it once a tracking number is generated. So the box is still sitting on their shelf, UPS doesn't even recognize the tracking number yet, and they refuse to cancel the order.

Now it has to come across the country, I have to pretend like I have a chance of refusing the shipment(I think I'm going to leave a posterboard note, but I'm sure they will leave it anyway) and then when it doesn't work I have to call for an RMA, get a shipping label, ship it back across the country and wait 2 weeks for my money back.

And they refused to delete my account when I asked.

that's the way most warehouses work. Shipped from a vendor doesn't mean that UPS has it but that they have processed the package in both systems. More than likely they don't want to go dig thru hundreds of packages on their UPS trailer just because you couldn't make up your mind

Before leaving this morning for work, I checked all the bushes around my house again.

I talked to Newegg support at 11:30am at work and they said they will put a tracer on it.
She were nice and said she would call me back.

I just got home now and saw it behind the brush by the entrance of my house.
The UPS guy got the trashcan covers from our backyard and used it to cover the package.
That wasn't there this morning when I was leaving at 8:30am this morning.

They have also conveniently updated the details.

(I did refresh so the old info isn't there anymore but that's the latest. Basically they added the part for today there)

Here's the old info on UPS website for proof as of yesterday:

Did you do rush processing on your order?

search the neighbors bushes and stop bitching

Not my responsibility to do that.
If it's not delivered at my residence it's not my fault and I would have done a chargeback.

I'm not trespassing someone's property that I don't know that well.
They've never been to our house and we've never been to theirs.
They're just that kind of neighbor you see once in a while and wave your hand to and that's it.

They always fuck up when delivering stuff to residences (e.g., dropping stuff off at the wrong address, leaving an "attempted delivery" notice without even knocking on the door, etc.). They do okay for sending stuff to businesses. I think you generally get the same UPS driver delivering stuff to a particular business for long periods of time and they develop a working relationship with the shipping/receiving department at those businesses. Residential customers are no one to them.

A UPS guy comes to my work everyday and asks us "Anything for me?"
I think I may consider delivering to work now for UPS since I know there is a guarantee that it would be delivered to me since he's the same guy who delivers my C-II control prescription orders.

He's been coming here for over a year now since I've been working here, every single day.
He was probably already coming before I even started working here.

He already informed me that he'll be on vacation next week so hopefully they don't get us a crappy replacement.

All in all this was a pretty lame rant. I always have to wonder at the amount of people on here who automatically jump to the "I am gonna do a chargeback". In this case it is not warranted.

Probably so.
I felt 2 weeks was enough time.
I didn't say I would do one tomorrow, the end of this week, or next week.

Doesn't sound like its Newegg's fault. UPS when they deliver to me usually will knock on the door or ring the doorbell and just leave. However, with Newegg I think whenever you order something $100ish or more they have you sign for it.

Next time, call UPS and tell them you will pick up the item at their distribution center.
You might be able to go there and refuse the package, or just don't pick it up. They hold the package for a few days, if no one picks up, I think they ship it back to sender.

Sunday evening, I ordered this printer.

Tuesday morning at 8:30am EST, I called to have the order cancelled.
They said it has already shipped that I should refuse the package.

Wednesday(Today) at 8:54am, I recieve an email from Newegg telling me that my order has shipped with the included tracking number.
My first thought was WTF?

I track the package and see it's out for delivery. It's 2:30pm and I'm going to work. I told my brother that if UPS delivers a package that he should refuse it.
I come home and don't see any package. My brother said UPS stopped accross the street, but didn't stop here.

I check online for the tracking information, it says it was delivered at 4:12pm on the front porch.
I called UPS. They say they have proof of the delivery that it was delivered at 4:12pm. The note the driver left them was that it was delivered "behind a bush". I checked the bushes around my house and didn't see any package. I asked him what happened to requiring signatures? He said "That's up to the supplier to require it". I asked him what is this proof of delivery? How can one prove something like this especially without a signature? Just word of mouth? He says "when the driver delivers the package, they scan it out."
That still doesn't prove that it was delivered to the correct house.
Does UPS ever knock on the door for anything at all?

1.) How can one refuse a package if UPS justs leaves it on the front porch?
2.) How can one refuse a package if you don't recieve it?

If I don't see a resolution to this issue within 2 weeks I will be doing a chargeback.
I've had credit cards for 7 years and I've never had to do(or attempt to do) a chargeback on any issue at all before.
This is ridiculous. I don't know whether to throw my anger at UPS, Newegg, or both.

The post you quoted means exactly what it means.
Saying "I don't know whether to throw my anger at UPS, Newegg, or both" doesn't mean I threw a fit at Newegg.
Did you completely glance over the "I don't know" part of my quote?

OP, have you contacted your neighbors? Why the fear of actually talking to them? I live next door to 'gang central' and I've talked to some of them.
