Hey guys, currently building a black system & I just can't seem to find any good black monitor... I currently have the 19" KDS w/ Trinitron tube that I'll love to get again, but I don't think they make it in black...

I went to Onvia and found this Viewsonic E790, but I don't have much idea about it... Anyone have any idea on this monitor? Is it any good? Lastly, is there any brand that makes black monitors w/ flat tubes?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Thanks. That's a very good looking monitor, but I'm not sure whether I'm willing to shell out $600+ for a monitor that's practically same as what I have... Any other recommendations? Thanks again.

IBM is the only one I know, they are nice trinitron monitors, but they aren't cheap.

I'm stuck with the same issue with a black system and beige monitor. I want my next monitor to be a Samsung model but I can't seem to find any in black, must less for a cheap price. I wish you luck. The Viewsonic model just won't work, given it's .26 do pitch. I'm thinking that LXi should have a good suggestion.

heh.. I can't believe this thread came back alive...

I am STILL without a black monitor... Still looking... I looked at the Sceptre ones also, but I don't think I'll be happy with .27 dot pitch... (similar deal with the Viewsonic one)

I did find a used/refurb balck IBM that uses the Non-FD Trinitron tube. At this moment, I am heavily leaning toward this. Only concern I have is that it is a used/refurb item....

Well, the search continues...
