Heard this being talked about on a podcast. You can see the one cop nonchalantly step on the back on the guys neck as he's laying on the ground. Then the cops proceed to break the surveillance cameras in order to attempt to destroy evidence of whatever misdeeds they had in mind.

When you put a person of power in an environment where they can lie and coverup anything, you end up with stuff just like this happening.

These cops will be supported by the portion of society who do not value their rights (and subsequently think this could NEVER happen to them) as well as their peers.

They will do anything possible to cover up what happened, pay off anyone involved, which will further boost their corrupt confidence.

That looks really bad. I hope some type of action is taken especially the destruction of the cameras. I don't see how that was necessary unless they where trying to hid something.

Which makes no sense if they didn't find the recorder. Maybe it was off site. Probably stealing the merchandise for themselves.

The recorder was off-site which was smart of the operators. I guess parts of the ceiling where torn down and the shop was really messed up. I guess there was probably a lot of swearing looking for that recorder. They probably expected they could destroy the cameras and then find the recorder and then destroy it so no evidence would exist for there actions.

Also remember people complain about this often... their records etc getting stolen by LEOs. Many here chalk this up to "they're guilty of course they would say that.."............ Yet refuse to acknowledge the occurrences where video is uploaded off site and they're actually caught.

For every 1 of these that you see, there are 100's if not 1000's of instances where the gang members find the recording device and destroy it.

Umm, I dont doubt that some instances have no evidence, but what is your evidence for a thousand to one ratio?

The fact that these things are often reported yet never investigated. It happens in traffic stops, seizures, no knocks, etc.. Where property and/or life is damaged yet the video "can't be recovered"..

It's an educated guess, not presented as a fact.

I keep a dash cam in my car. If something happened I would pull it down and leave it in the console. It can still pick up audio.

If you are arrested and your car impounded I highly doubt you would find it in functioning condition once it's all said and done - not even getting into the legal issues behind recording LEOs.

I've read and heard many complaints of people using their cell phone to record this sort of stuff and discovering either the video deleted or phone destroyed.

Thats why you put it on Youtube first. Even if they somehow convince them to delete the vid, tons of people have already seen it.

Many of the people in these situations have "backtalked" (IE merely questioned why they were pulled over, being illegally searched, etc) and end up arrested.

When this happens their property is held (destroyed/vids deleted) and car/cellphone is thoroughly searched before the tow company takes it.

If a complaint is made, the dashcams are gnerally also "not available".

The system has gotten so incredibly disgusting and corrupt over the last 10 years that I don't even know if it can be fixed.
