My apologies for a late reply. I work in the oil field with extremely long hours (19 hour shift today).
Anyways, I only used FC3 and Metro 2033/Last Light as examples since they are the most graphically demanding games out there right now and since 2033 was never optimized that well anyways, I figured I would use it as an example as well. For me, I tried maxing FC3 at my native resolution (2560X1440) and it ran pretty choppy. The same goes for Last Light with Tessellation and SSAA - the moment these settings are enabled my FPS dies (menu FPS was 2-7 FPS...).
Now on to the actual subject matter. Thanks for the replies and the information regarding the Titan as well as the upcoming 780. I have the money to dump into some Titans but given the small performance boost I would receive, it definitely does not justify the price and I can live with what I have for now until something far superior comes along. Since I built this rig around future upgrading rather than completely rebuilding, I was concerned my other hardware wasn't going to cut it if I were to eventually end up with SLi Titans or 700+ series cards, but since nobody mentioned my other hardware, I'll assume that there would be no problem with what I have in regards to adding in more powerful GPUs.
Lastly, I never even beat FC3 because of how boring it became. The devs made the environment so beautiful, not many people noticed the lack-luster action and general repetitiveness of the "missions". I did... and that's why it's no longer installed.
Anyways, it looks like I'll be sticking with my current hardware for the time being. I mainly only play Borderlands 2 (which runs flawlessly at maxed settings) and Metro: Last Light. Once I finish Metro, I'll be reinstalling Bioshock and moving onto Infinite once I complete a run through the original, so I can only hope that Infinite runs smooth on my system.
Thanks again for all the information.
