Yet Another FedEx Thread: Is my package lost, or is this normal?

At first I thought this was just due to the holiday / weekend, but something about this just doesn't look right. I ordered the package from Newegg on the 29th (last Friday), and it shipped that day. What concerns me is that there have been no status updates on the package, and notice how it says that it left the facility, but never arrived anywhere. Is this something to be worried about, or should I wait a few more days to see what happens? What should I do if the package doesn't show up by then? Or am I a dumb??? and this is just normal? 😕

They might be working 'overtime' since the holiday weekend put them behind, and your package just hasn't been scanned. Sometimes they'll do that. FedEx doesn't have a tracking system as good as UPS, IMHO.

Damn, I wish some of these resellers would use UPS instead. I ordered a small package on 08/31 and FedEx is showing a scheduled delivery date of 09/08. Sheesh!

It depends where its going and when they plan to update it. Some times they don't update it till its been checked in and sorted through. I wouldn't be worried though.

I have been having lots of trouble with FedEx Ground's tracking system. I dropped off a package on Friday, and it just showed up in their system today (Monday), and then it disappeared again.

However, they do tend to be faster than UPS from my experiences.

I've not done a direct comparison (haven't ordered anything with UPS for a long, long time), but FedEx seems ok. Their tracking system was (is?) screwed up, though, which had me concerned. However, I still got the package at the projected time (with no delays). 🙂

i ordered a gamecube from ebgames last fall. apparently ebgames scanned the wrong tracking number, so it never showed up on tracking. i called them asking why tracking wasn't showing anything, they say maybe it got lost so then they sent out another one. i ended up receiving two gamecubes.
